Flowers from Secret Garden

As requested by my friend GrApe, this is the latest collection of blooming flowers in my secret garden. This is Paphiopedilum sp. on bloom. Quite lasting cause its been 1 month since its open.

Paphiopedilum niveum. There are quite a few pots that in bloom. This is one of them.

This is Aerides lawrenceae. They grew on large tree trunks with their roots expose. I like them cause they look like little faries with wings flying in the wind. Nice colour too. This is from my second secret garden.

This is a ever bloomimg hybrid orchid. Low light but can bloom one after another for more than half year.

Doritis pulcherrima. Quite hard to bloom but once it does, it looks very nice. Some of the buds is not fully open yet. This is from my third secret garden.

Friends

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

A Little Bling Bling!

This week I’ve been doing some cosmatic and hardwear changes to my bike. First thing is sow 2 badges I bought to my jacket. Ohlins I got from Sungei Wang and Kawasaki Racing Team at Kawasaki,Shah Alam.

My rear number plate have a crack on it so I decided to change a new one and added carbon fiber plate to it. Looks nice from near but from far, it will look black so that I wont get into trouble with the police.

For the front suspension, I have added some custom made Marzocchi sticker to the top and bottom. Marzocchi is the suspension fork MV Agusta use on their F4 bikes.

I manage to open up my front wheels to paint it. Now it is metalic gun metal with red line running around it. Marchesini Forged sticker is used to add extra bling bling! Marchesini are use on high end Ducati bikes.

Front disks got the golden treatment with Brembo sticker added for extra bling too!

The end cam have change to a new one which is much bigger. Sounds better. It’s a Akrapovic replica but it sure looks nice. The sticker is Akrapovic new logo and it’s custom made with sticker that can withstand heat.

The hanger that comes with the end cam is metal and the heat shield is blue rubber. This will look like normal replica end cam to me. So I decided to buy the original Akrapovic carbon fiber hanger. Results, …. So much lighter and looks better.

Seat Cowling

This is what I've been doing this week. I always wanted a single seater cowling but cant find someone who is willing to make one for me. So, if you want to do something, you got to do it yourself. I'm not pro at doing fiberglass so I use a broken windshield. The plastic is hard enough so it should work. First I measure the size I need then cut out the windshield accordingly. To shape it, I used a hairdrier. It is hard to bend cause even with so much heat, it took me a long time. But at last I did it. For the inner hooks, I fashion out of aluminium plate and use a 2 ton glue to stick it to the plastic. Then I painted it white for the time being to go with my present Mc Donalds colour. I have also added rubber pad so that my butt wont break it. Strips of rubber pad are also used in the inner rim to keep the water out. All in all, I have tested it and it is stable. Am I happy? Yes I am!!

Protective Gears

I’ve been changing glove a few times. Most just don’t fit my hands nicely or too hot to wear. This is the first glove I bought and it’s quite cheap. Brand is Givi. Protection wise, it is minimal but ventilation is very very good. It really surprise me that it does not smells unlike the more expensive brands. But as fate would have it, I lost one side of the glove. Now I am left with the other one. Maybe I can do a Micheal Jackson with it! Haha!!

My next glove is by Scott from USA. I buy this glove because of its looks. I really like the fingers section which looks like claws. This glove fits nicely but for all its looks, it smells very bad and it is hot to wear. This is my own mistake cause this glove is used for snowmobile! Haha! Imagine using it in our hot weather. My goodness!! Protection wise, minimal to average.

Next is from Fox Racing. As you can see, I got this thing for claws! Hehe!! It is a fairly ventilated glove. The feel of the leather is quite nice actually. Protection is average. This glove size is big so it does not fit me nicely. But I’ll keep it as a spare.

This is my latest glove, RS Taichi from Japan. As you can see, the claws looks like its been clip! It’s actually just some rubber to deflect air into the glove. But I must say, it really is quite cooling and it does not smells at all. Carbon fiber for knuckle protection and also some protection at the wrist bone. Something my other glove does not have. It is not easy to find a glove that gives you protection and cooling at the same time. I just have to make a balance and this glove gave me that balance. It really fits me nicely and protection is average to good.

I’ve been looking for some protective clothing for some time now. I saw a friend protective gear and was intrested to get the same thing. It’s a body armor from Fox Racing and honestly it really looks cool. Another friend told me I’ll look like riot police. Another tells me I’ll look like Robocop! Haha! It looks very ventilated. But as times pass by, I realise I cant really wear it if I were to go shopping. Something that I do quite offent. So I decided to get a normal jacket with some protection on the shoulders and elbows. Another friend recommended me Bates from USA. It does look nice I must say. But before I manage to try Bates, I came across another jacket. The brand is Duhan. Made in China and cost me RM350. The first time I saw it, I’ve fall in love with it. And when I put it on, it really fits me nicely and the most important, I look really cool wearing it. Makes me look slimmer too! Haha! I tried a few other brands but this look the best. There is also minimal protection on the back but it is not as impresive as Fox Racing body amour. It is not as ventilated as I wants it to be but sigh, you cant have everything right? I was thinking of asking a tailor to punch some holes in certain places for me to channel some air in and out. That will make it cooling in an afternoon ride.

ZX2R Cosmatic Changes

Last week I decided to do some cosmatic upgrade to my bike. The picture above shows the condition of the bike when I got it and the one on the right is the enhanced one. I manage to buy a real carbon fiber sheet. So I cut out the correct size and paste it on my cockpit. The cutting process blunted my cutter! That’s how tough carbon fiber is.

Here is a close up of it. I also spray 18K Gold on the clip that holds the brek fluid cap. I also add a new ignition cap that I have lying around. Stick some refelctive & glow in the dark sticker so that I can see it at night.

I also manage to buy a mat black spray for my pipe. It is for BBQ stove and can withstand tempreture up to 1000C! Looks good and so far it did not peal or melt.

I’ve been having numb palm if I ride the bike for some time. So I get this soft rubber grip to make it manageable. Cost me RM6 only and it feels nice to grip it.

Few week ago I got a paddock stand for RM150. I manage to find a bobbin for the swingarm. It is not easy to find one that fit ZX2R. Those in the market cant screw in. Their nut is too small. At last I found this in PJ. Its great cause not only is it a bobbin for the paddock stand, it is also a crash protector for the swingarm.

Got this Xena Disk Lock Alarm for my peace of mind. Quite loud!

I’ve add some metal sticker of Brembo to my brek clipper. I’ve also respray them gold.

Suprise Cup

Its been a while I did not cook anything new so I decided to cook this Surprise Cup. It’s a satrter dish but if you make 3 cups it is enough as a meal for one person. What you need is Ham (I use Franch Ham cause it smells nicer. Slice), 3 Eggs, Garlic (chop small), Spinach (a few leaf will do. Wash and slice smaller) Shiitake Mushrooms (slice small), Spring onion (cut small) and Minced Chicken Meat.

Heat up a pan with a bit of oil. Add in the Ham. Fried untill brown and put aside.

In a bow add 3 Eggs and an equal amount of water. Mix well and pour it into 3 cups (don’t use plastic cups).

Add in the cooked Ham and Spinach and stir them in the cup. Then cover the top of the cup with foil. Heat up a wok of water and set the cup on top of a grill and cover it. Steam till the Eggs in the cup is set. I think 15-20 mins is enough.

Now we do the toppings! Add oil in a pan and fried garlic. Add in the Minced Chicken Meat and fried well. Add in Shiitake Mushrooms and fried.

Add a bit of light soya source and oyster source. Stir fried it and add a bit of water if it is too dry. Then pour the topings into the Egg cups. Don’t mix it just add them to the top will do.

Add Spring Onion on top and you can now surprised your guest with this dish!

My New Superbike

At last I found my Superbike! It is a ZXR250. Most of the ones in the market is from 1997 so it rare that I found one that was the last batch made (1999). It was registered only in 2001! I am now the 4th owner. What makes it even wonderful is that the previous owner came from Penang and I found out later he use to be my neighbour. What a small world! This is the second 250cc bike I own. The first one is an RGV250. That is a faster bike. That bike game me good memories and some hurtfull ones too. Cant blame the bike, I am too young and too wild. Hehe!!

Before anything, let me remind you that….. the colour sucks!! Sorry to the previous owner, but it hurt my and others eyes too much. This bike stands out like a sore tumb! Bike thieves will be eyeing it, Police will notice it and you will also have those pesky kids who will climb on top to test your bike while you park it somewhere.

So I plan to change a few things. First, I have change a new battery. The old one is not up to it anymore. Next, I’ll change the sprocket and “O”ring chain. This I will do end of this month. Right now sudah “Pok Kai Liau”. Oh.. I forgot to mention, I bought a pair of Glove for safety. Next on the list is a new Tri-Oval Titanium exhaust. This will burn a RM700 hole in my pocket, but it is worth the money. Infact, I might hold the Tri-Oval Titanium exhaust first and get the paint job done. Cant bare to look at ugly yellow thing! It looks like Mc Donnals clown!

Below is the new colour scheme. I’ll be using Matalic Black, Matalic Gun Metal and Red. The new colour will make the bike look sharper and much much nicer.

I am looking forward to ride this bike in the open but for now, I only use it on short trips. No lesen you see :P So I'll be taking my "L" soon.

My HJC Carbon Fiber Fullface Helmet

My first new year resolution is to get this fullface helmet. And I got it for RM1350 in Penang. Thanks to my bro for helping me drag down the price. It’s a HJC Carbon Fiber fullface. I added the gold trimings made out of sticker. The sticker design I copied it from Troy Bayliss helmet. I really like his helmet but the colour can be too shocking. I also added some gold studs to give it a 3D look.

The helmet is very light due to all that carbon fiber shell. I got the XL size and it fits my head perfectly. Lucky for me cause it is the only HJC in the shop.

Art Attack from the Past

Belive it or not I manage to dig up my art works from the 80's. Looking at it now makes me wonder, what on earth was I doing and thinking back then! But it also feels me with nostalgia. How innocent were we then. Life was simple and free. We werent bog down by work and responsibilities. We apporach life with eyes wide open and the most important thing in our world is friends. As we get older we encounter mistake along the way. This leave marks and scars in us. As the years goes by we started to fear the outside world. We shield our self from the outside world. We started to feel that todays world is going mad and inmoral and how we wish things were like in the old good days.

I have thought of this a lot and I find that to some extend, it is us that have close our hearts to the world. We dare not try new things for fear of rejection and failure. We believe that our ability have brought us this far and we rejected other advice and ideas. We no longer see the world with eyes wide open. Our hearts fail to explore anymore. We lost the ability to trust unless someone proves it. Did we ask our childhood friends for proves? I dont think so.

And so looking at this drawings now makes me realized I need to trust again. I need to do things with the innocent of a child. I will encounter love and hurt again but I know years from now I will look back and cherish all of it with a smile like I am now with these drawings.

My Cute Dwarf Puffer

This is the latest additions to my tank. Dwarf Puffer (Tetraodon travancorius). He is soooooo cute. This puffer is still very young. In adult it can grow to 1 inch. The spots on his back is actually matalic blue and green so is his eyes.

I actually got him because my tank is full of snails. Here you can see he just found out there is a snail on the leaf below.

This is another shot of him ambush a snail. See his eyes! Very intelligent!

One thing about this fish is that it is not afraid of other or even me. Look at him! Don’t he just looks like a cute little baby puppy?

My Secret Garden

Long ago before I have too many hobbies to take care of, I had a secret garden. It started small like all hobbies but grew to an extand that 20% of my daily life was devoted to it. Below picture is part what remains of that secret garden. There is only orchids here. Back then, the whole place is full of orchids. My friends thought I was opening a florist shop! But honestly, most of the orchids are rare orchids. I got some crazy forum friends who will go into jungle just to look for them. Not any kind of orchid species but Paphiopedilum species. This orchid species flowers can last for more than one month. There are some species that flowers one after another for a long time. I have one that flowers for 6 months. One after another. I kid you not!

This was taken long ago. This shot is those that is in flowering. Quite a nice sight no?

Paphiopedilum Niveum. Found in Penang, Kedah and Thailand.

Paphiopedilum Rothschildianum. Most sought after orchid. Found only in the foot hills of Mount Kinabalu. The flower is big and it look like a Kadazan woman dancing with the hands spreed out. Lots of people have died because of this flower.

Paphiopedilum liemianum. From Indonesia. Can flower non-stop for a verrrrry long time. Can get bored looking at it!

Paphiopedilum barbatum. Found in lots of places in Malaysia and Thailand.

Paphiopedilum helena. Another very rare flower. Found in China limestone hill.

Paphiopedilum parishii. Found in Thailand on big trees.

Paphiopedilum henryanum. Found in Vietnam. Named after the man who smuggle it.

Paphiopedilum concolor. Found in Thailand.

Paphiopedilum villosum. Found in Thailand.

Paphiopedilum primulinum. Found in Indonesia living at the based of big tree. This flower can also bloom non stop for long time. The founder of this little flower said he dream a God told him where to find this flower in a certain hill and so the next day he set out with his brother to look for it. They fought big phyton on the way. To his supprise he found the flower but his brother died that day. Suppose to be true story.

Paphiopedilum sp. Found in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. People are still debating if this is a true species or hybrid.

This is Paphiopedilum sanderranium. The most expansive flower I ever bought RM500 per pot!! It is in my collection still but this picture is in the wild in Sabah. It is only found there in the whole world. It is protected by mountain rangers now. Anyone found removing them will be shot!

Another photo of them in the wild. As you can see the petal is very long. They grow by the cliff of limestone hill. And when the wind blows, the petal will sway with the wind. A wonderful sight in the daytime but quite scary at night.

I have other orchid collection in another secret garden but that’s a secret!! Hehe!

The Adventures of King Part2

The King have found his Queen! Here is the 2 of them meeting at the garden.

Here are the two of them, strollling side by side. If only they have hands they will be holding it together. So sweet no?

Meeting eye to eye. A kiss is in order.

On a sad note, the other prince has pass away. Maybe from a broken heart.

Bake Stingray with Asian Pesto and Potatos

This is something I tried to cook yesterday. I got the idea from a magazine. We start of with 2 big potatos. Wash and wrap them in foil. Add a bit of water in there while you are at it. I use a blow oven so I put the potatos in there.

Set it to 130C for 30mins. Next we use a foil to make a pan. I do this because I don’t have a baking pan. Spread some butter to innerlay of the foil so that your stingray wont stick to it.

In goes the stingray. Remember to wash them first and pat them dry. Butter them all around. Then use a bit of salt to rub them. Don’t use too much salt ya?

Next we add black pepper. Rub all around the stingray. When finished, stop the oven and use an upper grill tray to support the stingray pan.

Close back the oven cover. Now you have the potatos and stingray in there.

Lets do the pesto now. We need garlic, coriander and olive oil. You can add Thai basil if you have any. Now for you guys who have a food blender, just use it to blend all this together. I don’t have one. Mine was borrowed by a friend who convienently forgot to return it to me. Friends huh! Anyway, back to the task at hand shall we?

Chop the garlic into small bits. Very small ya? Carefull of your fingers. Your fingers are not part of the pesto source!!

Next up is the coriander. Same thing. Chop to small bits. When you are finished, add both the garlic and coriander together and chop some more.

Put the mix into a small bowl and add olive oil. Use a fork to mashed them together. As you can see, if you have a food blender, your life is much easier.

By now the stingray and potatos will be ready. Lift the stingray pan out and test the potatos with a chopstick. If it goes in smooth, it’s cooked.

You can let the potatos to cool down or you can wash them with water for faster cooling. Peel the potatos skin then cut them in slices. Arrange them in a fan formation on a plate and rest the stingray on top of it.

Heat up the pesto source in a pan. Just a short while only. Don’t brown the garlic.

Pour the pesto on top of the stingray and potatos. Then squeeze a bit of lime on the stingray. You can use any balance coriander for decoration.

So there you have it!! Fast to make (if you have a blender) and nice to eat.

The Adventures of King

I've decided to rescape my tank. The water is still cloudy and most plants is still in the planting stage. So don't judge it yet. Need to let it grow lush first. What you see is the basic scaping and planting arrangements. The title of this tank is “A Breeze by the Secret Path”. I made this based on experience when I was young. Everything looks big and full of adventure when you are small. I live in a malay kampung and there are forest around and also rambutans. I am trying to create that through this aquascape.

I bought 4 new fishes last Sat. They are Dwarf Blue Ram Cichlid. This is the alpha male. As you can see, he controls the whole hill. I shall called him “KING” as in King of the Hill!! Haha!

This is King in closeup. What a beauty no? But he is a bit naughty, always bully the rest to show he is the king. As you can see, he got a bit distorted upper fin. He must have got this for beinga bit too naughty when he was young prince.

This is King tending his secret garden. He is quite good at it too. My tank got too many small snails and he is cleaning them out. Good job King of Gardens!!

Oh! Whats this? A damsel passing by! As you can see the female colour is not as aggressive as the male. And the fins are shorter too but that never stops King from courting her.

King is telling another young prince to get his own damsel! And while hes at it, get out from his garden and his hill. Quite aggressive no?

This is King’s hill, he is not home right now. He’s chasing a damsel in the village. So the village people decided to come and see whats King’s garden look like. You can see a young prince "curi" rambutans in the corner. Sneeky bugger!

Planted tank 2

This is my planted tank. Look nice no? When I am stress out, I’ll be in front of this tank. Very therapeutic! Schools of fish swimming, plants sway by the current. So many details, movement and activity and yet all is quite. Why cant life be like that. Sigh!

Good vs Evil Salad

This is basicly leftovers and I decided to make it into a salad. The veg is the good part, The Lays potato chips is the evil part. A balance man must have this two qualities and what better way to do that than by eating it!

Maggie Mee Curry Cheese (TM)

I learn this style of cooking when I was still young. That was the time when Maggie is the new kid on the block. Yes I am that old. Anyway, this is good for young people who is not good in cooking to try it out. It will impress your friends at how tasty your Maggie mee cooking is. So far as I know, no one have ever tried this before so I patent this okie?

You start off with small slices of beans. Then cut “Tau Pok” in half then chop garlic in small size.

Heat up a pan of oil and tost in the garlic and prawn. Stir till the garlic is brown then drain the whole thing aside.

Now boil some water. Don’t use too much water cause we want to make this with a bit of gravy only not soup. You must use Maggie mee Curry! Very important cause I have tried using other flavours and brands and it does not taste as good as Maggie Curry. Anyway, add in the mee, followed by the beans and “Tau Pok”. Then add the Maggie seasoning ¾ pack. Don’t add the whole pack cause it will be too salty.

Let it cook for 1 minit then add one egg. Don’t stir the egg. Then add in 1 or 2 Kraf Cheese Slices. Now you can stir it for another 1 minit. If it is too dry, add a bit of water. If too much water, let it simmer a bit longer and it will dry up. Pour the whole thing into a plate and remember the prawn and garlic oil I ask you to set aside? Well, use that to top up your mee and evenly spread the balance oil on top. You can garnish it with rosemarry leaf if you want or anything similar. My tummy is making lots of noise while typing this. Excuess me while I go and “cure” this hunger of mine!

Fish and Veg Wrap

This is an appitizer I made. Dont have a name for it. Just create out of nowhere. It is veg, mushroom and rosemarry leaf wrap in fish slice and steam. It is light and a nice way to start your main course meal.

Unnamed Japanese Dish

This a fish dish that I cook last night. There is no name for it cause I dont know what to called it. First of all, I got everything from Isetan (japanese) and the fish is imported from Japan (funny name can't recalled) The mushroom is shiitake (japanese) and the fish ore is from thoese shops that sells shushi. The gravy is some kind of japanese gravy. It is not sweet like normal japanese gravy). There is also a bit of nil leafs and nori (japanese seaweed) for decoration.

I dont have pictures of the cooking because would you believe it, my kitchen light died on me. So I have to cook the whole thing under candle light! Trust me, there is nothing romantic about cooking under candle light! The fish is sprinkle with sea salt and herbs then microwave for 2 min. Take out then oil the pan with olive oil and pan fried for 5 min. It gives it a nice burning effect. While that is going on, I stir fried the mushrooms in olive oil and add a bit of japanese soya sorce. The gravy is the ready made type. Just add hot water and it is ready to go. With the fish in the plate, add the nori and fish ore. Make a small indent and pour the gravy a bit on top. The rest of the gravy add to the side. You can crush a bit of nori on it if you want. The mushroom add to the other side. Lastly add the nil leafs. Wallah finish! Photograph it and enjoy it!

Healthy Food from the Half Naked Chef

Hai guys and gals, today we will look back at some food I cook before. Below is a soup base rice cook with fish and veg. You cant see the rice cause it is all below. But it is a nice oneoff meal.

Next we have Prawn Tofu in Plum Sauce. This one taste sour and sweet which goes nicely with the tasteless soft tofu. If you are wondering where is the prawns, it’s chop in small chunks and on top of the tofu. Nice to eat with rice.

And lastly, an appetizer. Egg Roll Veg! There is mayo spreed inside the egg but just a thin layer so that it remain healthy. I am supposed to use few mushrooms type but still lots of people like this appetizer!

Ok then, I see what I can cook-up the next time!

My Conchiglie Prawn Pasta

First you need pasta like the fist image. It is called Conchiglie. It comes in a few sizes. Get the medium size. Cook it in boiling water with a pinch of salt for 8 min.

Next chop some garlic, mushrooms and coriander.

By then the pasta is cooked. So drain away the water and run it through a cold running water. Then add some extra virgin olive oil and mix well so that the pasta do not stick to each other. Now it is time to chop broccoli to cubes.

You’ll need prawns too. Get either big or medium size prawns. Peal and devein. For you guys and gals who do not know how to devein, do a Google okie? So here you have pasta, garlic, mushrooms, broccoli, coriander and prawns. Keep to the side first.

Now heat up a pan with extra virgin olive oil and add the garlic. Add prawn next.

Add the mushrooms and a bit of mix herbs. You can find mix herbs is supermarkets like Giant. Then you add a bit of water and mix well.

Add a bit of chili flakes. A bit will do. Followed by black pepper and sea salt to taste.

Add some parsley flakes then stir. You can also find parsley flakes in supermakets. Add the broccoli and stir. Then dump the whole pasta in.

Add a bit of extra virgin olive oil if it is to dry. Then add half of the coriander in. Stir for a few min untill all is mix well.

Pour contents into a plate. Sprinkle some powdered parmesan cheese on top centre. Then use the balance of the coriander to decorate.

I Thought I Lost A Friend

Two days ago, I thought I lost a friend. I have never meet her nor spoke to her before but she is important to me. I was having my dinner and was half watching the TV. I was the news hour but in chinese, A language I sucks at. There was a sceen where they show a bus overturn and a Korean guy died and the bus driver have escaped. As of today the police have yet to find him. Anyway, after the clip, they show another accident but this time it is a car. The car is a red Honda. I know it is a Honda cause I can see a silver square and a "H" in it. The car is smashed to pieces. There is no sign of a body. I guess the ambulance have took it out of the car but I remember myself thinking "Ahyo, surely die one" cause I can't imagine anyone survive that kina of crash. All this while the reporter is speaking in chinese and then suddenly, I heard my friend's name mention!! I was like going "No! No! No! They show the car again and sure enough it is a Honda. I remember my friend told me she drove a Honda. Well, the car I am looking at is smashed beyond recognition.

I was at a loss for a moment. Is it my friend? The name is correct, the car is the same brand. I dont have her number so what could I do? I called up another friend of mine to tell her what happen. She told me it can't be, it must have been a mistake. Well that does not sounds convincing. I check my email. She usally will email me everyday. No mail from her today!

The whole night I cant sleep. I would be awake with my eyes close. Then I would get up and stand by the window looking at KLCC in the far distance and keep on saying "No! No! No!. The night eventually turns to light. I still check my email to see if she email me every 1-2 hours. None! It has been stressfull for me not knowing if she is ok. Eventually, I drag myself to office. Log on and she still did not reply. So I decided to message two of her friends to findout. It's a long shot seeing that I've never spoken to them before, I do not know if they will respond. Luckly between two hours, I got reply from both. Both confirm that my friend is alive and well!! OMG!! what a relieve!

I am sure I've just developed high blood pressure in one day. Though I am happy for my friend's life, I can't say the same for the victim of the crash. I wish nobody did die but someone did. Someone with my friends name.

Sleeping Beauty

Ahhh... Two sleeping beauties. Both taking an afternoon nap. Beauty sleep no doubt. In alot of culture it is said that one should not take pictures of someone who is asleep. The reason they say is that the soul will be capture by your camera when it leave the body and the sleeping person will not wake up! I wonder how many soul I can collect in my 512MB SD card?

Blue Moon

This is what my FZ7 12X can do. Impressive for such a small camera. I never in my life belive I can take a picture of the moon on my own untill I use this cam. With naked eye, all I see is a bright white disk in the night sky but through this cam, my oh my! With FZ30 I might see even better but the cost and the size turn me off. I still cant find any tele lens for my FZ7 here in KL. Wonder when Panasonic will bring them in.

Paphiopedilum niveum

I am still learning photography skills. Decided to get pictures of flowers. The is Paphiopedilum niveum or what some people call slipper orchid. It is a rare orchids which you can find here in Malaysia in lowland limestone. I enter World Orchid Conferance KL competition with this type of orchid and got 3rd price! Not this flower but another. Too bad it is not in bloom cause the patel is quite big. I beat quite a bit of old timers and overseas hobbies too. Not bad huh for first time. All the who's who in orchid world is there.

Just send my tank picture to ADA. I am not happy at all with the plants growth. All plants growth is inconsistant. Very sad with the outcome. I wish I got more time to prepare for this shoot. Will do better next year. Oh well, whats done is done then.

My First Digital Cam

At last I got my digital camera! My Panasonic FZ7. First one in KL to get it I might add. Price is RM1799 and it comes with a 512MB SD card, tripod and a hardcover case. Months before this I have been searching all over the net for reviews and previews day after day. I chose the FZ7 cause it have all that I wanted. Mega OIS, 12X optical zoom, great lens and it is the best in it's class. No regret at all. Love it!
